Reverend Rob Hamilton
Pastor Rob Hamilton grew up on a farm in central Kendall County near Plattville, IL where he was baptized and confirmed as a United Methodist. Active both in church and under the hood of a car, Rob gave his first sermon at the age of 13 entitled, "God is like a Chevy." (His knack for goofy but relevant sermon titles hasn't changed much since his first sermon.) It was his emerging call to ministry that led him to North Central College in Naperville, IL to study religion as an undergraduate. On his first day at North Central, Rob met Meghan and after a few years of friendship and dating they married in 2005. Rob believes whole-heartedly with John Wesley that God's grace is unconditional and available to everyone, even before we know it. It is by God's grace that our lives are changed and that God's kingdom will come on earth by the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit through the body of Christ. Rob is enlivened by studying scripture and making the scriptures come alive through tradition, reason and experience. Rob's always looking to see where God is active inside and outside the walls of the church and he is energized in joining God's people in the worship of God and when serving in God's name. Rob and Meghan have two children. Their oldest, Lily, is 6 and loves kindergarten. Ella, who is 21 months, loves to read and enjoys animals- especially dogs and cats. Spending time with his family renews Rob and he looks forward to spending his day off each week with Ella. When his schedule allows he spends school holidays with both girls which he affectionately calls daddy-daughter days. Occasionally, Rob still plays with cars though mainly just by washing them in the driveway. Rob is currently experiencing adult-onset athleticism by accidentally discovering running. You can often find him running the streets and bike paths of Rochelle early in the morning. Rochelle UMC is Pastor Rob’s 3rd appointment and we are blessed to share in ministry with him.

Director of Connection Ministries
Dana Cox began working at RUMC in February 2015. She and her husband, Jeff, enjoy spending time outdoors and with their family. Their daughters, Megan and Amy, are the teachers for Children's Church at both RUMC services each Sunday.
Dana works full-time for the church performing all administrative duties, as well as the new challenge of directing the people of RUMC towards the church's vision to connect people with Jesus Christ and each other, to grow in the habits of Jesus and to serve others in the Spirit of Jesus.
Dana admits she is a work in progress, but has heard a call to share her relationship with Jesus and the changes that have occured in her life since she began a closer walk with God. She has a love for writing and along with sharing her own story on her personal blog, she will also be sharing the stories of others through her new ministry at RUMC. Dana would love to meet you and hear about your walk with Christ, too.
Eric Reynolds is our Custodian for Hicks Hall. Eric is a 2008 graduate of Rochelle High School. He started working for the church in February 2015.
