YOUTH & CHILDREN

WELCOME TO RUMC YOUTH

We love youth at Rochelle United Methodist Church!  Our youth are integrated into the life of the church in several significant ways.  Youth serve as most of our tech operators, for which they are paid, and greatly appreciated.  Youth also are very involved in our hands-on mission projects like serving at Kitchen Table, packing meals at Feed My Starving Children, and efforts to raise funds for Heifer International.  Special Youth Outings and events are planned as their busy schedules allow!  Our youth events are always open to friends, with rare exceptions for lock-ins or retreats.

CHILDREN

Children are a very important part of our church life at Rochelle United Methodist Church!

Every Sunday:

Children are present with us in the opening portions of the worship service (9:00 am) through the Children’s Message, and then depart for more learning and activities in Sunday School.

Monthly Special Events:

We plan events each month that are appropriate for the season, especially for our children and their friends and family. Some months these are service projects, like Summer Vacation Bible School, packing meals for Feed My Starving Children, or making May baskets for our home-bound members.  Some months they are made an empty tomb to celebrate Easter.  Children are part of the joy and life in our congregation!

Contact Pastor Katherine for more information or request to join our Private Facebook Groups for children and/or youth.

SAFETY AT RUMC YOUTH

YOUR KIDS ARE SAFE

Volunteers at RUMC Youth are trained to create an atmosphere where families can confidently leave their children while they are in service. Every volunteer is screened with a background check, CPR certified, and the kids hallway is monitored by security personnel, as well as security cameras. Don't worry parents - we've got this!

WHAT WE TEACH

AT RUMC YOUTH

YOUR KIDS WILL LOVE IT

Whether your kids attend online or in person, they'll experience an age appropriate lesson that will teach them about God and His love for them. The teaching is interactive and utilizes multiple approaches for different learning styles. The goal at RUMC YOUTH is to raise up world-changers who understand who Jesus is and how that changes their lives. And, they'll have a ton of fun!
